Anti Virus Software with Suspicious Behavior Approach
AntiVirus software using a suspicious behavior approach, monitors the
behavior of your programs.
If one of these programs tries to do unusual actions, like wriing data to an
executable program, the anti virus software will pause your computer, gives you some kind
alert and ask you what to do.
The big advantage of the suspicious behavior approach is that brand new viruses
can be detected and removed. On the other hand this method generates a lot of false
detections, which causes users to be less sensitive to warnings given by the antivirus
software
Since regular and decent software more often modify other data like executable
files this method is getting less effective and modern anti virus software vendors are
using this approach less and less in their virus scanners.
Nowadays virusscanners contain more and more sophistacated software.
